The food is excellent and the waitress and staff are friendly and courteous. And the price is right. We have eaten there several times over the last 3 months and at various times,and has always been excellent. I would recommend this restaurant to everyone local and visitors. Happy Tummy's!

Good food snd service

Good, down home food for a good price! We've never had a bad meal here. It's nothing to write home about, but it's hearty & tasty. The service is always great & friendly. You know what to expect & they don't disappoint.

The food was okay. It seems they cater to an older clientele. The food was bland but palatable. I had a steak that was just a steak. Nothing to write home about. My wife had the French dip sandwich. She said it had no seasoning to it. Our waitress was great. She was very friendly and took great care of us.

This is a staple of the dining experience in Fort Madison, they have a vast menu for any appetite, and at a very reasonable price. Come as you are and no matter whether it's you or a party of 40 they usually can handle it. Food is always good, the wait staff is on point and and food comes out as soon as it's done unless you request that you want it all at the same time. The bathrooms are clean and well kept. And there's all sorts of parking (even for semi-trailers)

I have always had great service and they have the best chicken noodle over mashed potatoes ever!

The food is decent, but the wait staff is not very responsive. I got an omelet, which was fine, but I never did get my toast. We were in the west room rather than the main dining room, and I think they kept forgetting about us.

If you leave hungry its your own fault. You get tons of food for the price. Wonderful staff

No use for the veg beef soup. French fries, pleasant surprise. Pork tenderloin sandwich was excellent, amazing and so very good. overall no complaints.

Good service, large variety of good food.

Loved it ..stayed overnight just to eat breakfast.. will eat there again. Everyone very friendly and the owner was very nice and checked us out perwonally. Recommend it highly!

The food was priced fair, served hot, tried the peanut butter cheese cake, delicious, very rich. Service was great, the waitress went out of her way to care for myself and the other customers. Great personality.

Stopped into Fort Colony to have lunch with my Mom and Step Dad while visiting for the day. The food was hot, delicious and large portions served. Our waitress, Starr was on top of everything with service to our table. She is an amazing server and very people friendly. 5 stars for her and the restaurant.

Ordered supper to go tonight. Excellent food and superior service as always. My mom's favorite meal is the Belgian Strawberry Waffles with whip cream. They have the friendliest staff who always treat you like family. 👌💯❤

It was a lovely experience. The staff was light-hearted and cheerful, the food was on our table right-quick and it was hot and delicious!!

Got our drink order in fairly quickly, but that was about the only positive. Took a half an hr after getting our drinks before we even ordered and while the food came pretty quick, it was not very good. All the adults got their food and the kids had to wait! It then took another half hour before we got our check. We were there for an hour and a half. Would not recommend.

The food is hearty and hot. The menu is diverse and vegetarian friendly. Vegans won't find much beyond a salad and baked potato. The vegetable beef soup is wonderful. If you leave hungry, its your own fault.

Good food friendly service fair prices

The staff was very friendly the prices were good, the appetizers were good, however our main plates were just okay they served big portions, maybe it was just that we went late before they closed.

Service wonderful, food excellent and catered ro the Covid 19 in accord with guidelines.
